Over the centuries the trade fair events shaped the architecture of the historical city center. There were these typical passage court yards, where the merchants offered their goods for sale. We would like to show you, how and why they started to build a new type of trade fair pavilion at the end of the 19th century so there is a special new architecture in the booming city of trade fairs. You will learn how the Leipzig Fair developed and what the double M means. You will get to know the most important sights of our city in terms of architecture, history, culture and art history. In Barthels Hof, the last preserved passage court yard, you can enjoy a cup of coffee together with your guide after the conclusion of the tour.
